+ Healthcare
The healthcare industry is facing many challenges when it comes to working securely at any time on any device. It is often a challenge for hospitals, nursing homes and private practices to ensure great patient care with increased productivity at a lower cost.
Access for medical doctors
Health professionals often work on multiple locations and devices and need access to their patient database anywhere at any given time. Digital Workspace allows your medical doctors to securely access all of their applications and data on any device via any browser
Cost-effective digitalization
IT departments are bound by tight budgets and struggle to mobilize their workforce within those available budgets. Digital Workspace leverages on your investments and has a TCO that is up to 81% less expensive than competing solutions such as VPN or Citrix.
Reduce tech support workload
IT departments are often swamped with support tickets about printing, security and remote working due to their complex environments. Digital Workspace prioritizes ease of use for users and admins to significantly reduce your incoming number of support tickets.
Comply to data regulations
Patient data protection is essential due to heavily regulated laws, and failure to comply results in heavy sanctions. Digital Workspace offers a secure and audited environment that helps you become compliant with regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
+ ISVs
Today more and more organizations show their preference for cloud-based solutions, causing many to embrace SaaS providers over their traditional ISV's. However, some companies still struggle with this transition, as it includes many changes within the business and development plan, from pricing to support and new sales models.
Different from factors
Already today, businesses have started to adopt different form factors such as tablets, laptops and thin clients. The range of options is almost endless and will only grow further.
BYOD and CYOD
Many businesses have started to adopt C/BYOD. This trend will only grow towards the future. Often this involves "managing" the setup of an MDM solution. But these solutions require management and are de-facto not truly agnostic.
Contractors
Contractors need access to applications and data. They don't require you to provide and manage a device, while this is typically the case. Costs are enormous yet the value is small.
Better TCO
Given there is no need to manage devices from a deployment or security/compliance perspective, IT organizations can gain significant cost optimizations when adopting browser-based workspace.
100% browser-based
Digital Workspace makes all software – incl. legacy – and files available in a browser. As such it runs on any device with a browser. And that covers a lot of form factors!
No local data
Digital Workspace runs inside the browser. As such, there is no local data on the device (if you don't want to). This is obviously a big benefit from a security and compliance point of view.
Windows 10 upgrades
Operating system upgrades – such as Windows 10 – are painful for many organizations due to legacy IT platforms and security. In a platform agnostic implementation, the best practice would still be to upgrade operating systems to their last version. Yet it should not be impacted by the IT platforms in the back-end.
Context-aware
Digital Workspace optimizes the user-experience based on the user's context, e.g. push a mandatory "strong authentication" when logging in from outside the company network.
+ Mobile Working
Today, work is MOBILE
The concept of BYOD was first introduced in 2009, but only in 2011, it started to become an emerging trend. Right now, in 2020, it's a fundamental strategy to enable your workforce. Mobile working has grown by over 50% over the last two decades! The global market for BYOD has increased from 67b in 2011 to $181,000,000,000 in 2020!

Better TCO
Given there is no need to manage devices from a deployment or security/compliance perspective, IT organizations can gain significant cost optimizations when adopting browser-based workspace.
Simplicity
Log in via any browser. There is no need to install any agents or plugins, nor to maintain and manage these locally installed "agents" and "plugins".
Productivity gains
Employees are more comfortable and often work faster with their own technology.
Cost savings
Reduced hardware spend, software licensing and device maintenance.
+ Home Working
Homeworking made easy and secure, even on unmanaged devices! Connect securely from your home PC to desktops running in the office, or connect to your server-based computing platform over RDS – or both! Nothing happens locally on the device, logging is secured via Digital Workspace built-in MFA and all traffic is fully audited and encrypted.
Why choose our solution for homeworking
Access all company applications, desktops and files remotely
Provide access to managed and unmanaged devices via the browser
No software (such as VPN clients) need to be installed on the device
Easy and fast roll-out
Fully secured and compliant usage audit
+ Two homeworking scenarios with Digital Workspace
Securely access your office desktop with your own computer
Connect via the browser to your personal computer (or company laptop) into your desktop which is running at the office. You will not require any additional VDA licensing if you remotely connect from a Windows device to your primary desktop/laptop that is connected to the company network (learn more about how RDS & VDI licensing works here). However, unlike a plain and open RDP access, Digital Workspacewill add layers of security on top of the RDP access to protect your IT assets to the maximum.
Plug your existing server-based computing assets into Digital Workspace's unified workspace.
Do you have server-based computing (application server, RDP or VDI setup, file servers, AD, etc.) in store? Use the full capability of Awingu's unified workspace and make all your assets available under a single pane of glass. Enable your employees to have a highly secure and audited login via the browser, without the need to install anything. Give them access to all apps (legacy via RDP, SaaS and intranet via reverse proxy), VDI capabilities and files and maintain productivity by installing appliance and get your homeworking plan up and running in a few hours, from start to finish.
+ Security and compliance
A workspace that maximizes security and compliancy. Today, the minimum security and compliancy requirements for any business are far beyond the adoption of anti-virus and a firewall.
Multi-factor authentication
Assure your IT environment and confidential data is securely stored behind a strong authentication and not just a simple login and password. These are too easy to break. With Multi-factor authentication, you authenticate with something you know (your password), something you have (e.g. A token generated key) and something you are (your login name).
Encryption
Encrypting data you send over the public internet is an absolute minimum. Chances for non-encrypted data to be fetched and abused are real. All traffic should be covered in HTTPS, where the "s" stands for secure. Practically, it often comes down to using an "SSL certificate". This is based on an asymmetric system with two "keys" to encrypt communications: a "public" key and a "private" key.
Control your shadow it
Knowing where your sensitive data is also means getting control over shadow IT. All too often, IT departments reduce employee flexibility that much (e.g. sharing of large documents by email) that employees will reside to alternative paths: Gmail, WeTransfer and this is where businesses lose track of their (confidential) data.
GDPR (or other) conpliance
Since May 2018 all businesses in the European Union must comply with GDPR. But also beyond the EU, similar regulations are in place or on their way. GDPR goes far beyond IT, but IT will be required as a supporting and enabling role.
Built-in SSL AND MFA
Built-in into Digital Workspacecomes comes a "one-time password" generator that can be coupled with the "Google Authenticator" app on a smartphone. Awingu also offers built-in integration with "Let's Encrypt" a free SSL certificate service. Other MFA services can be integrated, and so is the use of own SSL certificates.
No local data
Digital Workspacecomes runs inside the browser. As such, there is no local data on the device (if you don't want to). This is obviously a big benefit from a security and compliancy point of view.
Control shadow it
Digital Workspacecomes can aggregate legacy apps, SaaS and documents. All logins are routed via Awingu. Furthermore, Digital Workspacecomes offers built-in the ability to share documents (that includes large ones) in a secure and controlled way.
Usage audit
Digital Workspacecomes will give a real-time and historical view on who has opened what application, when and where. Anomaly detections in usage behavior are furthermore reported and flagged.
Context-aware
Smart online workspace will optimize the user-experience based on the users's context, e.g. push a mandatory "strong authentication" when logging in from outside the company network.
+ Unify Communication
A "platform agnostic" IT strategy implies IT departments have the ability to support literally any device, Operating System and form factor. IT departments can split the end-user device from the back-end and as such speed-up and ease their development and release cycles.
Different form factors
Already today, businesses have started to adopt different form factors such as tablets, laptops and thin clients. The range of options is almost endless and will only grow further.
